THE HUSBAND: You know, I maybe have 5 pairs of shoes. That’s all I need. ME: Yes. And… THE HUSBAND: Just sayin’…. ME: I have needs.
Ladies and gentlemen, how many pairs of shoes are in your closet (approximately)? I’m talking any type of shoe – whether you’ve worn them in the past day or haven’t worn them in years – athletic, slippers, high-heels, sandals, golf, boots, pole dancer shoes, etc.
I’m down to about 60 (from about 100+ several years ago) and I wear maybe 10-15 on a regular basis. That makes at least 30 pairs that I haven’t worn in who knows how long and wouldn’t be caught wearing anywhere at any time. See, right there – 30 pairs of shoes could de-clutter my closet in an instant. (NOTE: Shoes in picture -- haven't worn in years. In my closet. Still.)
What is that??? Per a previous blog, it’s that whole closet organization situation and choosing to let go, let go, LET GO! (HUGE DISCLAIMER: The only exception to the donate or throw away thing is my friend Robin “Chanel-Louboutin” VanDenShoe. If you have any “unwanted” shoes sized 7 ½ to 8 – I’m your gurl, Sugar Pie.)
Zenitude for today:
Let go. Donate, throw away and replace as needed – anything that’s cluttering your life.
