Hi there, Zenitude Friend. It's me, Christi.
Well here's the nitty-gritty. I am the "Zenitude Child" of Patsy (“The Momma”), a 16-year-old Texas girl who, in 1967, had a tiny "ooops" in her life. Christi (hi there, that's me!) was born. Patsy brought a daughter into this world, a twirling fireball who loved to back talk, sass, and wore emotion for the world to see (still do). Eventually, it was time for me to find my wings and start what would become a fabulous journey – taking my sass, attitude, and twirling with me.
Fast forward through many years and you'll find a complex fusion of careers: work-a-holic, marketing executive for more than 15 years, successful fitness studio business founder and owner, heart and soul non-profit fundraiser, and yes, for a short stint, even a political campaign fundraiser. But now I am finally finding my Zenitude and sharing its meaning with the world.
Artist Patricia Hill Burnett wrote, "Don't think that I'm against religion. It may offer wonderful consolations to some, but we still have to take things one world at a time." Yes, I am twirling through one world at a time experiencing the spiritual journeys in front of me, and I am inspired by other women who are part of a pack of Women Who Run With The Wolves described by author, Clarissa Pinkola Estés. My tribe.
