Yes. You knew it would happen. I’m writing about the Big “O.” Why? Because I can. So let’s talk about your friend and mine…
The Oreo.
(DIVERSION: Oh, and to make this mind-blowing “O” word writing experience even more ridiculous, I just now “Wiki’d” Oreo AND the Oreo was introduced on March 6, 1912. TODAY is March 6th! Did I mention – mind-blowing? How fabulous is life!)
So, there are a million gazillion types of Oreos – just like there are a million types of mascara. Why can’t it just be simple? Chocolate cookie. Yummy-licious creamy white center. Chocolate cookie. Yum. Yum. And Yum. A basic food group of delicious “feel it to your toes” flavors. And why can’t mascara be simple. I know what mascara I love, but I enter the local Walgreens to buy what I love and I’m a deer in the headlights.
INSIDE MY HEAD: Well…maybe I should try this extreme “lift your lashes to your forehead” lash-builder. I might sport the tarantula-eye look better than I think.
And then I remember my pure and simple Oreo and the beauty of simplicity. I put back the 75 mascaras that have made it into my shopping basket and go for my tried and true mascara.
Today’s Zenitude:
Just like our Oreo's let’s keep our mascara simple.
Complicated mascara is the last thing we need.
