The diversity of males and females. It's not so much that men are from Mars and we're not. It's more along the lines of, well, we're on the same planet, in the same house, but you really need to get away from me right now.
And that, my Cyber Friends, is a two way street. But this is my experience.
I need S.P.A.C.E.
And, fortunately, the husband gets me and understands that means:
Solitude Peace And Christi's Escape
Let me make something perfectly clear. He is a rock-star husband. He's the peanut butter to my jelly. He knows things about me before I do. He's my BFFFFF to the moon and back. He's perfect. Again, he gets me. So clearly I don't feel the need to escape because he's a doofus. No. I gather all of my energy from escapism, my own alone time. It regenerates me and, yes, I could be left alone for days on end with books, writing and wine or champagne without any connection to the outer world (except if he wants to check on my empty glass) and be just fine. Cocooning is magical. Rejuvenating. For me, it always has been. And when I unravel myself from my introverted travels of an hour or a day or days, I am ready to put my Chucks back on and fly, fly, fly.
Today's Zenitude:
Define our plan for solitude, peace and escape.
(Disclaimer: Saying you don't have time, is not an option -- it's a cop out, it's an excuse and it's not good for you. You, your husband, your friends, your children will welcome a renewed you.)
